At present, I am focusing on Children’s books. My illustration portfolio won the SCBWI Golden Gate Conference portfolio award. I showed my children’s book illustrations in the 50th-anniversary celebration for the Santa Cruz Public Library. Some of my past credits include Cricket Magazine, Current Health, Step By Step Graphics, Health Advocate, Modern Curriculum Press, Scholastic Press Ready Readers, Knight Ridder Newspapers, and Weekly Reader. I have participated in more than 20 group exhibits and one-man shows. I have won many awards for my painting. My work is included in public and private collections including Arizona State University. I have worked as a museum exhibit designer and managed an art gallery. I taught art taught full time at Monterey Peninsula College, and Part-time at De Anza College, San Jose City College, Evergreen College, and for University of California Extension at Santa Cruz. I am a long time member of the “Society of Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators.” I have worked in pen, ink, and collage and watercolor. I am energized by finding innovative ways of presenting my images. At this point, I work digitally adding only cerrtain pieces of the work with watercolor and pencil.
